PRESISENT’S MESSAGE

DEAR NOBLES:

Thanks to all the nobles and their ladies for making the monthly luncheon on March 5 th, and my first official day as the president, a memorable one. I am looking forward to the support of the nobility to get things done and having a very successful 2008.

Considering the cold weather (sunny but very windy) we had a great turnout for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday March 9 th with 5 mini-kars participating. (I believe it was the most in quite a while) as well as good number of nobles marching or riding in the van. The brave people on the sidelines greeted us with great excitement.

As I wrote this message, I am hoping that our 4 th annual wine tasting on April 17 will be a great success and that everyone was able to get an item contributed for the silent auction.

We are looking for vollunteers who will ambassadors for our club to their repective Blue Lodges. Our goal is to get new blood to join the great works of Shrinedom. Please see me or our co- chairs of the membership committee, Sam McClure and Dick Cornwell.

I would like to remind everyone that on April 25 th we will once again go to Aleppo to help with the circus. Volunteers should arrive at the Manor for departure to Wilmington at 8:00 AM sharp for the 10:00 performance, after which we will return.

We are looking forward to having our Aleppo Potentate, Steve Erikson, join us on August 8 th for an evening dedicated in his honor.

Also as soon as someone finds out that a Noble is sick or in distress, I would like to ask them to call and inform Gordon Johnson, the chair of Hospitalers.

In closing, I want to thank everyone that comes to our luncheon meetings. Its nice to see so many Nobles and their ladies take time of their busy schedule and partake in such a nice social gathering, while helping to give support to the kids.

Fraternally, Savvas Fotiadis, President 2008
